Sync Sports Academy's academic coaching includes guidance to the best school choices and direct dialogue with recruiting coaches. The program provides players with a personal profile and academic package that they can share with NCAA coaches.

Players will receive team swag, including jerseys, helmets, goggles, gloves, and a lacrosse bag. There will also be 9 NCAA school visits and meetings with coaches.

Sync Sports Academy provides the training and exposure needed to reach your goal of higher education through your sport.

 HEAD COACH; WOMEN'S LACROSSE 

Rachael McKinnon

Rachael McKinnon is a distinguished figure in the realm of women's lacrosse, renowned for her exceptional coaching prowess and remarkable achievements both on and off the field and floor. McKinnon is currently serving as an Assistant Coach with Team Canada’s U20 Field Lacrosse Team and the Whitby Minor Lacrosse Association. Rachael brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to her roles. Rachael helped guide Team Ontario to the First Gold Medal in Women’s Box Lacrosse at the Canada Summer Games in 2022. Her leadership and strategic acumen were instrumental in guiding the U-19 Team Ontario to a national title, a testament to her ability to inspire and develop young talent. She is currently among the Top 48 Women training for a spot with the Inaugural Senior Canadian Women’s Box Lacrosse Team. Rachael's journey in collegiate lacrosse began as a standout player at the University of Denver, where she competed at the Division 1 level from 2012 to 2016. Her exceptional skill and dedication to the sport propelled her among the ranks of the university's all-time career points leaders. Throughout her collegiate career, Rachael earned numerous accolades and distinctions, further underscoring her impact on the field. She served as an Assistant Captain with Team Ontario at Junior Box Nationals and was named to the Canadian All-Star Team on both occasions. Rachael garnered invaluable experience working as a Graduate Assistant with Franklin Pierce University and as an Assistant Coach at Robert Morris University, where she played an integral role in shaping the team's performance and fostering a culture of excellence. In 2019, McKinnon helped guide Ontario Tech University to their First OUA Final Four Appearance. McKinnon played Minor Lacrosse in Whitby and Oshawa, having been part of 12 Provincial Gold Medals and an Ontario Summer Games Championship. She also competed in Cross Country, Field Hockey, Ice Hockey and Field Lacrosse during her high school career. Beyond her achievements in lacrosse, Rachael's versatile athletic background includes playing Junior hockey with Durham West, showcasing her athleticism and adaptability across different sports. Complementing her athletic prowess, Rachael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Denver, providing her with a strong foundation in effective communication and interpersonal skills. She also double minored in French and Marketing during her time at DU. Furthermore, she has pursued advanced education, earning an MBA in Sports Management and an MS in Instructional Leadership. Additionally, Rachael has enriched her expertise with a Certificate in Digital Marketing from Cornell University and several certifications within Personal Training, demonstrating her commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Rachael currently serves as a Learning Facilitator in Ontario with Women’s Field Lacrosse and previously served as the Provincial Female Rep for Sixes Lacrosse. As the Head Coach of Sync Sports Academy Women’s Lacrosse, Rachael McKinnon epitomizes excellence, bringing a unique blend of experience, knowledge, and passion to empower athletes and foster a culture of success both on and off the field.

JORDAN HACHIE

Jordan (Lyons) Hachie - Peterborough, ON. Attended St. Peter’s Secondary School lettering in varsity lacrosse all 4 years winning back to back COSSA championships. Kawartha Lacrosse Club from 2008-2013 and a member of Edge Lacrosse from 2009-2010. Selected to the 2011 U19 Canadian World Cup team earning Bronze in Hannover Germany. Recruited for NCAA division 1 (UMBC) beginning in 2011 ranked 2nd in draws for the 2013 season. Jordan rounded out her collegiate career in the OUA at Trent University in 2014 earning All OUA team honours. Career Positions: midfield(draw)/attack. Coaching accolades: - U15 & U19 Kawartha lacrosse 2010-2013 - U15 & U19 Edge lacrosse 2009-2022 - Next Level Coach (training sessions) 2019-2022 - Whitby House League U9/U5 house league 2023 - 1:1 private training sessions at request in the Durham Region

EMILY VANDAMME

Emily VanDamme started playing boys box lacrosse at age 5 and continued until she was 21, reaching the Jr. B level. She was the starting goalie for Team Ontario girls box lacrosse for six years, winning three gold medals, three silver medals, and three Canadian All-Star awards. Emily transitioned to field lacrosse at Trent University, where she played from 2016 to 2022, winning three OUA gold medals, an OUA bronze medal, and earning a First-Team OUA All-Star award. Emily has coached the Kawartha JEWL field lacrosse team, the Team Ontario U19 girls field lacrosse team, and the Team Ontario U15 girls box lacrosse team. She looks forward to developing young athletes and promoting the sport at SYNC.

 STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH; WOMEN'S LACROSSE 

Trevor CYR

Trevor is an athletic-performance coach based out of Oshawa, Ontario. As the founder of Take Control Training, “Coach Trev” has helped thousands of athletes in their pursuit of achieving greatness in sport. He possesses an extensive understanding in developing culture within teams, while remaining grounded in his approach to his individual athletes. Trevor previously has been a strength and conditioning director for Edge LC, Evolve LC, United Lacrosse League, Top Prospects Lacrosse Events, and Vandermont Lacrosse Academy. Coach Trev has also designed and executed large scale athletic testing combines, ranking participants through the “TCT SCORING SYSTEM”, which is a proprietary reporting process. He has coached in hundreds of lacrosse-recruiting events, showcases, and tournaments, which gives him a unique perspective in navigating that landscape. Currently, Coach Trev serves as the Clarington Green Gaels strength and conditioning coach, and can be found with his athletes at his private training studio, preparing the next generation of athletes.

BRYAN CAMPBELL

Bryan Campbell is a distinguished figure in the world of lacrosse, renowned for his exceptional playing career and remarkable contributions to player development and coaching. With a foundation laid in the competitive arenas of Oakville Minor Lacrosse, Bryan's journey through the sport has been marked by determination, skill, and a strong defensive mindset. Beginning his ascent with Oakville Minor Lacrosse, Bryan quickly distinguished himself, earning a place among the Oakville Buzz before advancing to Burlington Junior A Lacrosse. His prowess on the field was evident as he became known for his unwavering defensive capabilities and strategic play. Transitioning seamlessly to the collegiate level, Bryan spent three formidable years with the Brock University Field Lacrosse team, further honing his skills and garnering invaluable experience. His dedication and talent did not go unnoticed, as he was drafted forty-second overall by the Minnesota Swarm in the prestigious National Lacrosse League. In 2019 Bryan was selected to play in the World Lacrosse Championships in Netanya Israel for Jamaica. An experience he will never forget. Jamaica came in ranked last in the world and then proceeded to pull off a record of 7-1 and ranked 13th after those memorable championships. While Bryan's playing career showcased his prowess on the field, it is his passion for player development that truly sets him apart. Embracing coaching roles with organizations such as Edge and HardCor Lacrosse, Bryan has been instrumental in nurturing the talents of aspiring lacrosse players. His commitment to fostering growth and skill enhancement culminated in a notable achievement, securing an Ontario Championship with his team in 2023. Bryan Campbell brings a wealth of experience and an unwavering passion for the sport of lacrosse. Whether on the field as a formidable player or on the sidelines as a dedicated coach, Bryan continues to make indelible contributions to the lacrosse community, inspiring the next generation of athletes and leaving an enduring legacy in the sport he holds dear.
